Sustainabilities

At North American Eagle Holding Group, sustainability is more than just a regulatory requirement—it is a guiding principle in everything we do. Our goal is to operate placer gold mining projects that are environmentally responsible, socially respectful, and economically beneficial. We believe modern mining must balance high-efficiency resource extraction with long-term ecological and cultural stewardship.

Environmental Baseline Studies

Before any exploration or mining activities begin, we conduct detailed Environmental Baseline Studies to assess the condition of the natural environment. These studies include:

  • Soil and sediment composition
  • Water quality and flow patterns
  • Vegetation and habitat surveys
  • Wildlife presence and migratory routes
  • Cultural and heritage site reviews (in consultation with Indigenous groups)

This data provides the foundation for our long-term environmental management plans, ensuring that we fully understand the ecosystem before any ground is disturbed.

Water Monitoring Plan

Real-time and periodic water quality monitoring is critical to early detection and prevention of contamination. Our Water Monitoring Plan includes:

  • Installation of automated turbidity and pH sensors upstream and downstream
  • Monthly laboratory analysis for metals, hydrocarbons, and sediment levels
  • Transparent reporting of data to regulatory agencies and Indigenous partners

We also prepare contingency protocols for storm events or equipment failure to ensure no harmful discharge enters fish-bearing streams or community water sources.

Watercourse Protection Plan

Water is one of the most sensitive and regulated aspects of placer mining. We implement strict Watercourse Protection Plans that follow or exceed provincial and federal guidelines. Key measures include:

  • Buffer zones around creeks and streams
  • Use of non-toxic sediment control barriers such as silt fences and bio-swales
  • No direct discharge into natural water bodies without approved treatment
  • Ongoing erosion control through progressive reclamation techniques

Our design philosophy prioritizes minimal impact to hydrological systems, with all water used in processing being recycled in a closed-loop system whenever possible.

Wildlife Protection Plan

Our Wildlife Protection Plan is built around preserving the integrity of local habitats and ensuring safe passage for native species. Strategies include:

  • Scheduling exploration and mining activities outside of sensitive breeding seasons
  • Limiting night operations to reduce light pollution and animal stress
  • Installing wildlife movement corridors and avoiding known migration paths
  • Training all field personnel in wildlife awareness and incident reporting

We work in alignment with the BC Wildlife Act and consult with local First Nations to incorporate traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) into our practices.

Reclamation Plan

From the start of exploration to the end of production, we integrate progressive reclamation into every project. Our Reclamation Plan covers:

  • Regrading and contouring disturbed land to natural profiles
  • Replacing and stabilizing topsoil
  • Replanting native grasses, shrubs, and tree species
  • Wetland re-creation where applicable
  • Long-term post-closure monitoring and vegetation success assessments

By planning for closure at the outset, we ensure that land is returned to a stable, productive, and self-sustaining condition.

Advanced Eco-Friendly Technologies

We use the latest environmental technologies in both exploration and gold recovery. Our field systems are designed for:

  • Low fuel consumption and low emissions
  • Dry separation techniques where applicable to reduce water use
  • Use of non-mercury, non-toxic recovery methods such as intelligent jigs, shaking tables, and optimized sluices
  • Smart mining systems that reduce equipment idle time, material waste, and unnecessary disturbance

This allows us to achieve high-efficiency gold recovery while meeting or exceeding environmental standards.

Indigenous Collaboration & Cultural Respect

Sustainability also means respecting the rights, traditions, and knowledge of Indigenous Peoples. We are committed to:

  • Early and ongoing consultation with local First Nations throughout project development
  • Creating partnership opportunities in environmental monitoring, training, and contracting
  • Supporting cultural heritage studies and land use reviews
  • Working together to identify shared economic and environmental goals

Our aim is to move beyond compliance toward genuine collaboration, ensuring that our operations contribute positively to both community well-being and reconciliation efforts.

A Long-Term Vision

North American Eagle Holding Group believes that a truly sustainable placer gold project must deliver value not just for today—but for future generations. Through careful planning, open communication, and leading-edge technology, we are proud to be shaping a cleaner, smarter, and more respectful approach to mining in British Columbia.
